Support
Need help with niarT? Email [email protected].
Please include your device model, iOS version, the feature involved, and the stations, date and time window if relevant. Do not send passwords, API keys, full payment details or an unredacted ticket barcode.
iOS trial and subscriptions
The iOS subscription edition is free to download and use for seven days from first opening it. No signup or purchase confirmation is needed for those free days. You are not charged automatically when they end: the app shows a subscription screen, and you decide whether to subscribe.
You can subscribe at any time through Saved → Trial & subscription. Choose monthly (£0.99/month in the UK) or annual (£9.99/year in the UK) for the same full app access. Apple charges the selected full price when you choose to subscribe, even if free days remain. Once purchased, the subscription renews monthly or annually until cancelled. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel it. The price is shown before confirmation.
Use Restore Purchases if you already subscribe. Manage or cancel through iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or Saved → Trial & subscription in niarT. Cancellation stops future renewal; paid access remains until the current period ends. Apple handles billing and refund requests.
The first-open trial can work offline. Previously verified paid access can also work offline until its expiry. Purchasing, restoration and confirming a renewal need an App Store connection. If access expires while offline, reconnect to check for a renewal. The app keeps the trial locally in the device Keychain; clearing app storage should not start a new seven-day period.
Read the subscription terms and Terms of Use (EULA). Local prices and billing periods are shown before purchase.
Live information
Online means the server is reachable. “Old data” means the latest transport observations are not fresh. Offline means cached information is being shown. Positions between stations are estimated; the app is not a GPS tracker for trains.
Routes and journey time
Routes are connection guides based on downloaded passenger calling patterns. Duration estimates exclude waiting for a train and current disruption. Tube timings are approximate. Offline routes do not verify that a service operates on your chosen day or that your ticket is valid for it.
Tickets and delays
Review scanned ticket fields before searching. Ticket recognition and restriction coverage are incomplete, and encrypted barcode recognition does not verify a ticket’s authenticity. Historical records may help support a claim; niarT does not submit claims or guarantee compensation. Your operator decides eligibility.
Coverage
National Rail coverage is currently Great Britain. Northern Ireland Railways is not yet integrated. Tube and DLR data covers London; tram coverage is limited to the networks shown in the app.
Permissions and offline use
Camera and location permissions can be changed in iOS Settings. Routes and saved information can work offline once available on the device; live status and fresh historical searches need an internet connection.
Availability
The service is currently hosted on a Mac mini. Live information depends on its internet connection and the upstream transport feeds. Please report repeated failures using the email above.
